The Polder Lab project

If climate change is more and more an opressing reality, we can learn from nature to undersant how to adress this global crisis. Migrating birds are traveling from the South to the North and from the North to the South between winter and summer. They depend mainlyfrom two locations but also from the territory along the routes they are flying by, sometimes several thousands of kilometers long. We believe that following the migrations and discovering the Prosper Polder in Belgium and the El Hondo mediterranean wetland in Spain can be the perfect journey for artists, academics, naturalists and researchers, to understand fully the scale and the impact of climate change in western Europe.

To create this opportunity, the Milena Principle foundation and the Locative Media Supercluster NGO, with a networks of international artists, naturalists and the local communities, collaborate to create the right conditions to achieve this goal. The Polder Lab is not a physical place in a single location but a network of ecosystems from the North atlantic to the mediterranean sea.
